Yes, I get it. Everyone has an opinion when it comes to eyebrows and how you should treat them, and that can lead to a little confusion and unanswered questions. After more than 15 years in the industry, there aren’t many questions around your brows and lashes that I haven’t heard or answered yet.

So, I thought it would be about time to answer some of those frequently asked questions around eyebrow treatments, tinting, and waxing on my blog. Frequently Asked Eyebrow Questions

Do you have any questions about your eyebrows, lashes, tinting, waxing, or our treatments? Have a look below if you can find the answer, or feel free to contact me here if you have a question that’s not listed here.

1. How long will the treatment last?

This is possibly the most common question I receive from clients. The answer, however, is not a one-fits-all solution. How long treatment lasts depends on a number of different factors, like your unique brows, skin type, the skills of the eyebrow artist, and the quality of the product used during the treatment. Here at The Eyebrow Specialist in Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane, we make sure to only use products of the highest quality, to protect your skin and ensure you get the best possible results.

Depending on your treatment and look, we usually recommend re-booking every 2-4 weeks to keep your brows and lashes looking great.

2. How many treatments do I have to do to start seeing results?

In many cases, we have seen excellent results after only one treatment, though depending on your individual skin needs, consecutive treatments may assist in achieving the optimum outcome. We will happily discuss your individual needs and accommodate your schedule to plan your course of treatment for the best possible outcome.

3. How much is the treatment?

We have a wide selection of eyebrow treatments and facial solutions, as well as a number of add-ons to boos results and enhance your experience at our salon. Your investment depends on your selection of treatments. Our treatments cover everything from eyebrows and eyelashes to facial solutions and your relaxation needs and range from $15 – $300.

4. What’s your availability?

Please check the bottom of our website for updated salon opening hours. We are a by-appointment-only salon and require appointments to be booked prior to your treatment. The fastest way to check availability and book a treatment of your choice is to use our online bookings.

5. How much time is needed for my appointment?

Depending on the choice of your treatment, appointments can take between 10min to 60m. If you booked multiple treatments or one of our fabulous Deluxe Beauty Packages, treatment time can take up to 2 hours. We always make sure to provide you with a time frame at the time of booking and in our treatment descriptions. If you are still unsure of how much time to plan for, simply send us a message and we’ll let you know in advance, so you can plan in enough time.

6. Which treatment is right for me?

Most clients will love Signature Brow Design ($60 – with tint $85, rebooking within 4 weeks $40, with tint $60). Of course, I’m always happy to discuss your individual needs.

7. How long will the results last?

The results of our eyebrow treatments last for about 2-4 weeks, depending on the level of maintenance and the type of your brows. We also provide maintenance packages to keep your brows looking your absolute best. 

Here are some tips to help your eyebrows stay looking great for longer after an appointment:

  1. Avoid sweating or getting your eyebrows wet for at least 24 hours after the appointment.
  2. Avoid touching or scratching your eyebrows, as this can cause the pigment to fade or become distorted.
  3. Use a clean, soft brush to gently comb through your eyebrows each day to keep them looking neat and tidy.
  4. Apply a small amount of moisturizer to your eyebrows each day to help keep the skin hydrated.
  5. Avoid using any harsh skincare products on the area, as these can cause the pigment to fade.
  6. Avoid exposing your eyebrows to the sun or using tanning beds, as UV light can cause the pigment to fade.
  7. If you need to use makeup on your eyebrows, be gentle and avoid using anything that could rub or scrub the area.
  8. Use a silk pillowcase to reduce friction between your brows and your pillow while you sleep.

By following these tips, you can help your eyebrows stay looking great for longer after an appointment.

8. I have sensitive skin, can I still get this treatment

Yes, we have all-natural treatments available that are great for sensitive skin types.

9. Where are located

Our treatment room is located on Morden Road in Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane. As we operate by appointment only, we will send you the exact location by text message prior to your appointment.

10. Do you have parking available?

Unfortunately, we do not have dedicated customer parking. Street parking is available, however, it can be quite limited during busy hours. If you don’t live too far away, we recommend catching an Uber to your appointment or have someone drop you off.  That way you can enjoy some more relaxation before and after your treatment. 

11. Can I just drop in?

We operate by appointment only and require all treatments to be booked in advance. Please use the booking page on our website to make an appointment or send us a message via our contact page.

The difference between the two is that Signature Brow Design is for new clients, where we spend a little extra time to get to know your individual needs and design your brows accordingly.
